Ben Arpea est un artiste Franco-Italien né à Paris en 1989. Issu d’une famille de collectionneur et marchand d’art, Ben Arpea grandit dans un univers artistique riche et c’est donc naturellement qu’il se passionne pour l’art.

Autodidacte, il s’initie dans un premier temps au design en créant des lampes et des objets artisanaux à base de matériaux élémentaires comme le béton avant de se tourner vers le dessin et la peinture.

Ses peintures abstraites composées de formes géométriques colorés sont inspirées des peintres modernes, tel que Miro qu’il admire particulièrement. Ben Arpea a pour particularité de peindre sur des toiles de jute et de lin sans châssis accentuant le côté brut de son style. A travers l’assemblage de formes géométriques, ses œuvres sont chaudes et spontanées.

Ben Arpea is a Franco-Italian artist born in Paris in 1989. Coming from a family of art collector and dealer, Ben Arpea grew up in a rich artistic universe and it was therefore natural that he became passionate about art.

Self-taught, he was initially introduced to design by creating lamps and handicrafts made from basic materials such as concrete before turning to drawing and painting.

His abstract paintings composed of colorful geometric shapes are inspired by modern painters, such as Miro, whom he particularly admires. Ben Arpea has the particularity of painting on canvas of jute and linen without frame accentuating the raw side of his style. Through the assembly of geometric shapes, his works are warm and spontaneous.
