Yuyang Liu, the art of photographing contemporary society
Born in Sichuan, southwest China, in 1991, Yuyang Liu started studying photography on his own at the age of 16. He holds a BA in History from East China Normal University. He is currently based in Shanghai and Chengdu.
His images focus on change and connecting people in a changing society.
Liu Yuyang is a freelance photographer for Getty Images, The New York Times, etc. His work has been published on TIME, The New York Times, NPR, BBC, The Guardian, ChinaFile, Science, Lancet, South China Morning Post, etc.
It also collaborates with NGOs such as UNICEF, Greenpeace, and Save the Children. Some of its business customers include Apple, Airbnb, Xiaomi, and JD, etc.
