Saleswoman on a Bicycle is a work on paper displayed on a batik background, with a frame painted by the artist. It was inspired by the image of a woman discovered on social media — an African street vendor who rides to the market every day, balancing all her goods on her head. For the artist, she embodies the resilience that characterizes African women in general. Through this portrait, he pays tribute to their strength and determination.
