The artist approaches painting not as a straightforward practice but as a form of inquiry—a process he calls "non-painting." Instead of painting directly, he engages with the medium by questioning it, exploring its function, mysteries, and historical significance. To him, painting is like a vast library waiting to be decoded, where each work builds on the legacy of the great masters while contributing something personal and new. Drawing inspiration from the Support-Surface movement, he challenges traditional conventions by creating composite works that often spill beyond the edges of the canvas, breaking free from academic constraints. For the artist, painting is more than a visual medium—it’s a sacred, living entity. Through his work, he seeks to connect with its deeper energies, pushing beyond its visible limits to uncover its true essence.
