“He who does not know one thing knows another.”
It was a mother’s love that created Thandiwe’s first studio. Bed sheets draped over a doorway and aluminium foil wrapped around a cardboard box were innovative solutions dreamed up to actualise childhood need. Joining the women before her, this accomplishment was not a new one; for the book of history has recorded many female inventors upon its pages.
Stirring a cupful of creativity with a gram of necessity and a drop of uniqueness, women create and innovate solutions big and small. Computer algorithms, GPS, dishwashers, toys, personal style, food presentation or a budding photographer’s first studio- all these are incredible inventions by women.
