"I’m here to save myself" vous plonge dans un voyage introspectif dans le corps et le cœur de Christa David. Un cheminement questionnant l’acte de solitude. Une interrogation qui a particulièrement pris son sens au cours de la pandémie mondiale de 2019. Compter les gens, compter le temps. Mais qu’est-ce qui compte vraiment ? Une réflexion touchante sur le monde qui nous entoure ou qui disparaît à l’heure où il faut désormais courir alors que nous avions appris à ne plus marcher.
Christa David - " Que se passe-t-il lorsque le monde s'arrête en un instant, lorsque tout est incertain et dangereux et qu'il ne reste plus que vous et vous. Que se passe-t-il alors ? Qu'est-ce qui compte alors ?
"I am here to save myself" est la réponse d'une femme noire à la solitude et ses réflexions sur le travail, l'imagination et la foi inébranlable nécessaires pour survivre, s'épanouir et recommencer.

What matters then? « I am here to save myself » is one Black woman’s response to solitude and her reflections on the work and imagination and unrelenting faith required to survive, to thrive, and to begin again. »
