Con l’arrivo di 193 Gallery, Venezia è sempre più internazionale

A further addition to the Venetian art scene is 193 Gallery, a young gallery (reflected in the age of its team as well) founded in 2018 in Paris by César Levy and Linda Franco with the aim of creating a space open to emerging voices, focusing on the "Global South"—from Africa and Asia to South America and New Zealand, without overlooking European artists.
"After an initial experience in 2022 with a pop-up space in the Zattere area," says Clémence Pons, the gallery’s associate director, "we inaugurated our current location in 2024 at Dorsoduro 993/994, in the former Solveni pharmacy. A setting often in dialogue with our program of solo exhibitions and site-specific projects, conceived in relation to Venice’s architectural and symbolic context."
