To escape the dreariness of November, there’s nothing like a stop at the high-energy stand of 193 Gallery, which truly knows how to warm the heart. What’s on view? The dazzling images of Italian artist Lorenzo Vitturi (born 1980), a former film set painter who fuses his Venetian roots with elements of Peruvian culture, where his father opened a Murano glass factory; the striking portraits of Hassan Hajjaj (born 1961), known as the “Andy Warhol of Marrakech,” hung alongside a series of photographs by the pop art master himself; and, to top it all off, the hypnotic works of Thandiwe Muriu (born 1990) and Joana Choumali (born 1974)… A true feast for the eyes, one not to be missed!
