Overview
After having conquered London, New York, Portland, Chicago, Melbourne and Montreal, the exhibition "Africa Fashion", designed by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, arrived in Paris and proposed a dialogue between the greatest fashion designers of the contemporary African scene and the rich historical collections of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac.
Photos from Hassan Hajjaj’s improvised studios run through this exhibition celebrating the meteoric rise of the African artistic and stylistic scene. The spaces made by the Moroccan artist are decorated with North African textiles and everyday materials, such as plastic carpets, braided mats and colorful fabrics, creating rich and striking backgrounds for his portraits.
