Hassan Hajjaj

Published on the ocassion of the artist's solo exhbition My Rock Stars at the Musée de la Musique, the catalog immerses us in the multicoloured world of Hassan Hajjaj. Here, in a joyous coming together of photography and music, this self-taught Anglo-Moroccan artist draws on his Gnawa, Amazigh, Arab and African heritages, as well as on the reggae and hip-hop cultures of the 1980s, to celebrate the many figures who inspire him: from the masters of traditional music to Billie Eilish, Madonna and Rachid Taha, all are photographed in a jubilant deluge of colours and patterns.
