Cedric Tchinan was born in 1994 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) where he lives and works today. After graduating from the Lycée d'Enseignement Artistique de Cocody, he continued his training at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Abidjan. He graduated first in his class of 2020.
The artist has always been fascinated by the world in motion and the interactions between human beings. In doing so, he translates into his work his perception of this dynamic, the relationships between beings and his personal relationship with them. For the artist, the line represents the fragile link that binds us to each other. Thus, he uses a rather expressive and simple writing, close to the scribble; the optical effect emphasizing his sensitivity and the aesthetics of his work.
