Overview
193 Gallery is thrilled to present the exhibition Soul Frequencies, a group show featuring works by Adler Guerrier, Christa David, Hyacinthe Ouattara, Joana Choumali, Mehdi-Georges Lahlou, Modou Dieng Yacine, Roxane Mbanga, Shourouk Rhaiem and Thandiwe Muriu.

Inspired by Koyo Kouoh’s curatorial vision for the 2026 Venice Biennale, Soul Frequencies pays tribute to jazz and Black music as vital collective forces, where sound, spirituality, and memory weave connections between people. Bringing together nine contemporary artists from Africa and its diaspora, the exhibition invites visitors to attune themselves to these frequencies—both intimate and shared—as spaces of care, community, joy, and transcendence.
